The real push came during my brother’s marriage.
If you’ve ever been through an Indian wedding, you know how shopping becomes the biggest event before the big day.
And in our family, all that responsibility fell on me.
Day after day, my wife would take me out — sarees, dresses, matching accessories. Friends and relatives too, all asking for my opinion. At first, it felt fine, but by the end of the week, I was drained.
I remember thinking, “Why is choosing clothes and gifts eating up so much of my life?”
To save time, I turned to e-commerce sites. But instead of solving my problem, they made it worse.
•Endless scrolling.
•Too many categories.
•Too much time wasted in just finding the right thing.
It frustrated me deeply.
“Why don’t these sites value our time? Why make customers surf endlessly, when what we really want is quick, simple, and clear?”
And then came the spark.
I thought to myself, “If I owned a site, I would make it so easy that anyone could find the perfect gift in just a few clicks. No confusion, no time wasted — just pure joy.”
That spark was the birth of an idea.
That idea became Shobhara.
A place built not just for shopping, but for saving time, simplifying choices, and keeping the happiness alive.
